  What was the most rebellious thing you did while you were a devout jw?

  i was just thinking about how humans being imperfect and satan's influence was the root of everything bad that anyone has ever done.

  well i know that apparently everyone is vulnerable which got me thinking about what "bad" things people have done while they were a jw.

  i told someone that i didn't think that the governing body was the channel to god and they promptly went to the elders and told them I needed help.

  It was the final question in the national geography quiz. Sylvia was tense because she wanted to win the prize a vacation to anywhere in the world. Geography was not her best subject but today she had done very well and just one more question and it could be her's. The audience was still and the question "Where is the town of Slick lizard?"

  It seems to me that the DO's that I was around enjoyed being in that power position with all of it's adoration. There's one that i especially remember being a real jerk his name was manera or something like that we were all at a restaurant and he was positively rude and unkind to the young man waiting on our table. His behavior was embarrassing to all of us and i thought he's so used to treatlng young jw men that way and watching them cower under his so called authority it was just second nature to him.

  yesterday, i saw a picture of a family signing kingdom melodies together.

  it made me realize a fact that i am somewhat ashamed to admit:.

  for over a decade, i have been aware of the false prophecies, the deceptive statements, the lack of scriptural support for many core practices and other issues with the witnesses.

  the bull god was also none in ugaritic as el and early israelites seemed to worship this same canaanite god for whom they got their name.

  is the fact that they made a golden calf when they supposedly came out of egypt a clue that they thought of yahweh as this same god?
